Rush-released and exclusively on DECCA: the album for the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
A life-long music enthusiast and champion of the arts, His Majesty has overseen, influenced, and been personally involved in the commissioning process and the detail of the music programme, which will showcase and celebrate musical talent from across the United Kingdom and further afield.
The album, set to feature more than 2 hours of music from the Coronation, features 12 brand new works commissioned by his Majesty the King, including the Coronation Anthem "Make A Joyful Noise" by Andrew Lloyd Webber and music from the ninth century to the present day.
Soloists include Sir Bryn Terfel, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, and Sir Antonio Pappano conducting a specially put-together "Coronation Orchestra."
Music by BYRD, WALTON, PARRY and VAUGHAN WILLIAMS, as well as Greek Orthodox music in memory of the King’s father, Prince Philip.
