    Product Details

Marking the fifth anniversary of Bernard Haitink’s passing, Decca is proud to present the third and final limited-edition boxed set in a series that began in 2023 with the landmark Concertgebouw Orchestra edition and continued in March this year with the release of the London recordings.

This third edition focuses on Haitink’s recordings with three of the world’s leading orchestras: the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Wiener Philharmoniker.

Also included are recordings of Mahler and Poulenc with the European Community Youth Orchestra, Fidelio from Dresden (with Jessye Norman), and from the early stereo years, a partnership with David Oistrakh coupling Mozart with Stravinsky. Most intriguing perhaps, is music by Turnage recorded with the Chicago Symphony.

A 31-CD edition with original jackets and a booklet with insightful notes by Andrew Stewart. LIMITED EDITION.
