    Product Details

From the internationally acclaimed Australian Chamber Orchestra, the first three symphonies by the greatest composer the world has ever known: Ludwig van Beethoven. Thrilling performances of Beethoven’s effervescent Symphony No.1 and spirited Symphony No.2 open the album, paving the way for the composer’s third, and arguably most electrifying, symphonic achievement: the magnificent Eroica. This beloved masterpiece rises beyond its initial dedication to Napoleon Bonaparte to encompass heroism, disillusion and grandeur, breaking boundaries in symphonic form, length, harmony and emotional content, opening the way for the Romantic age and the future of modern music.
